Thursday, April 14, 2011 17:50 Farmington Fire and Victor Farmington Volunteer Ambulance Corp. were dispatchesd to Route 96 for a vehicle crash into a store front. On arrival, 802 reported no injuries, car into store front with structural damage. Command requested Town Code Enforcement to scene and fire crews checked for hazards. No utilities were involved, Code Enforcement inspected building, car removed, units released at 19:10.

Thursday, December 9, 2010 16:57 12/9/10 At 16:57 Farmington Fire was toned out for a house fire with multiple calls at Coachlight Circle. This activated our M.A.B.A.S. on box 300 also toning out Victor Fire on the first alarm. On arrival at 17:02, FVFA 80 reported heavy smoke from the roof ridge and ridge vents of a 2 story wood frame residential. 80 immediately requested a 2nd alarm, dedicating both companies –Manchester and Shortsville- as a F.A.S.T. and the Canandaigua V.A. off the 3rd alarm for manpower. FVFA 801 was designated front operations Victor 2702 as rear operations. All occupants were accounted for, one indicated fire was involving stove on 2nd floor and dog was in garage. Within 2 minutes of arrival a flashover occurred pushing fire from rear of the structure. Upon arrival of FVFA Engine 832 one 1 ¾ line was stretched to the front stairs and deployed to the fire which was now blowing out the front living room. It was quickly determined that the fire was gas fed, but that the meter shut-off was damaged. A secondary shut-off was found in the basement. Fire was declared under control at approximately 17:40. Chief Conrad would like to thank on scene departments Victor, City of Canandaigua, Canandaigua V.A., E. Bloomfield, Manchester, Shortsville, and Victor Farmington Vol. Ambulance, fill-in companies Fishers, and Egypt. A second call for a gas leak at 17:30 was covered by Egypt and Canandaigua. Also assisting at the scene were FVFA Ladies Auxillary, county coordinators car 1, 7, and 9, RG + E, Town of Farmington Code Enforcement and The Red Cross.
The annual election dinner will be December 6th. The absentee ballot is available at each firehall.
Sunday, October 24, 2010 05:00 On this day, October 24th, 2010, the Farmington Volunteer Fire Association along with mutual aid companies, burned down a house at roughly 05:00. The house was donated a while back and firefighters from Farmington were able to participate in using the house in staged scenarios.The house took roughly 1 hour after ignition to completely burn to the ground, and another few hours after that to finish burning completely. We would like to thank the many volunteers from our mutual aid companies who came out so early on this day to assist us with this operation. Monday, August 30, 2010 It is with great sadness that the Farmington Volunteer Fire Association announces the passing of Charter Member Lewis Martz Sr. Calling Hours are 4-8pm on Tuesday 8/31/10 at the Payne-Murphy Funeral Home on State Route 31. The Ontario County Honor Guard has been requested to assemble at the Funeral home at 1545hrs. Farmington Vol. Fire Assoc. Members are requested to assemble at Station #1 at 1815hrs for the CODE 100. The Funeral will take place Wednesday 9/1/10 at 11am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pumpkin Hook.
